Connecting to your warehouse

To connect to your data warehouse, click the "Warehouses" tab at the bottom of the left sidebar.

Here you'll be able to provide credentials against your data warehouse / database so we can execute queries and scrape metadata. We generally recommend creating a service account through your warehouse provider, rather than providing us admin or user credentials, but any of these options work. See the sub-pages in the sidebar to get warehouse-specific instructions on how to create a service account.

In general, a combination of credentials (username, password), connection specifications (URI, port), and warehouse-specific details (database) are required here. If your warehouse does not allow public access to it, you may need to whitelist our static IP: 54.185.174.252.

The official list of supported databases:

  • BigQuery
  • Microsoft SQL Server / Azure Data Warehouse (for both, select MSSQL)
